Bees haven’t been a direct part of my life for very long, I’m only entering my second year as a beekeeper… but it’s been a goal (dream?) to keep bees for 15+ years. They simply play too important a role in our lives to keep that passion on the back burner for any longer.

In 2024 I took the plunge with my beekeeping ‘career’ and now in 2025, I’m turning my passions for carpentry and beekeeping into an opportunity to connect with individuals from all walks of life, who are equally passionate about our #1 pollinators.

By blending carpentry and beekeeping into a career, I’m able to effectively create my own ecosystem that focuses on sustainable designs and solutions unique to many people and businesses.

Our sister company is Blunt Axe Design; as a carpenter/joiner we’re able to focus on our different interests while making the most of our respective markets. At BIOM beehives I work closely with the folks from HIIVE to position this next generation bee hive to the UK market. Many of the collaborators we work with at Blunt Axe Design will continue to be key contributors / collaborators with BIOM beehives.
